In Chula Vista, CA, Ray Mellado and Martha Mellado embarked on their embroidery journey, collaborating with local screen print enterprises. Initially, they functioned as a subsidiary arm of these screen print businesses. However, a pivotal moment arose in 2001 when the Mellado family established their independent venture, giving rise to the inception of Mellado Designs.
